Over The Lake Art Kunstgalerie
De Lake Art is een kunstgalerie gelegen op een grasveld naast het Xinglong-meer in Chengdu, China. De galerie vervangt een klein koffiehuis en beslaat 600 vierkante meter. Massieve geometrische volumes zijn uitgesneden en gecombineerd tot een gevel die doet denken aan een stenen sculptuur, waardoor het gebouw goed herkenbaar is naast het natuurlijke landschap. De ruimtelijke vormen verwijzen naar de bergen, bomen en wolken van de stad. Een waterdicht plafond, ontworpen als een geometrisch beeld van wolken, speelt in op het vochtige lokale klimaat. Het interieur is ingericht voor kunsttentoonstellingen en internationale culturele uitwisseling.
