About Hexa Plus Vuurkorf
Hexa Plus is een vuurkorf ontworpen voor tuinen en buitenruimtes. De zeshoekige vorm is geschikt voor een groep van zes tot tien personen die rond een vuur samenkomen. Het ontwerp combineert een vuurschaal met een kookplaat en een grill die op twee hoogtes kan worden ingesteld. De kookplaat is gemaakt van 10 mm staalplaat voor een gelijkmatige verwarming en een goede thermische inertie. Een steun houdt een ketel boven het vuur, en een uitgesneden logo aan de zijkant van de tank zorgt voor de luchttoevoer voor de verbranding. Verstelbare voeten houden het product stabiel en waterpas. De behuizing is gemaakt van lasergesneden plaatstaal dat wordt gebogen, gelast en gecoat met elektrostatische verf.

- Hexa is a multifunctional garden product that can be used in any season with an innovative design, meant to take the experience of cooking and socializing outdoors to another level. Bending and welding of the sheet - Design Challenge
- The most difficult part was to be able to homogenize all the functions that the Hexa + firepit currently has and to identify the best option, considering functional and aesthetic features and cost optimization.
- Research
- The vision was to create a multifunctional and practical product. The material from which the product is used restores the resistance of the product over time, the maintenance or rehabilitation of the product being easy, during use. Another advantage is that it is a perfect material for cooking, evenly heating the surface of the grill, hob, etc.
The tub, which is used for campfires or as a heater on cold days or evenings, is a solution to protect green spaces. - Inspiration
- The concept of this product was inspired by modern design stealth trends, having as main feature the pronounced edges, which gives the product strength, power and masculinity.
The hexagonal shape was chosen as the optimal surface for a number between 6-10 people who can enjoy socializing around a fire or for the outdoor cooking experience, by the side of multifunctional product.
The design of the grill lid is inspired by the shape of a diamond. - Project Duration
- This project started in November 2019 and the final version of this product was launched in the summer of 2020. The design of this product is 100% Romanian and its production was carried out in Cluj County, Romania.
- Operation Flow
- The grill is designed to prepare food and is made of 3mm sheet metal and steel, guaranteeing a high resistance over time. The grill holder and the tub are also made of 3 mm sheet metal. The grill pan is made of 10 mm steel sheet. The legs of the grill pan are made of 3 mm thick sheet, protected with paint in the electrostatic field.
