About The Soleil Building Kantoor
Dit is het kantoorgebouw voor het zonne-energiebedrijf gevestigd in Osaka. Zij willen de dynamische en spirituele wereldvisie die diep in de bergen verscholen ligt vormgeven door enorme rotsformaties, zoals vaak diep in de Japanse bergen te zien zijn, na te creëren in de stad. Gebeeldhouwd met kunstmatige rotsen en verticaal houten latwerk belichaamt de gebouwgevel het ontwerpconcept "Fusie van Natuur en Kunst." De met kunstmatige rotsen ingebedde gevel loopt van de begane grond tot de tweede verdieping door naar de entree, waar de kunstmatige rots versmelt met een sculptuur met als thema liefde. Kunst is in lagen door het gehele gebouw verweven.

- “Fusion of Nature and Art”
This is the office building for the solar power company based in Osaka. "Design the future with nature" is the corporate philosophy of the company and its infrastructure is designed to embody the philosophy by adhering to carbon-neutral practices, utilizing solar panels on the rooftop to power the building.
We started planning the design based on “art” in the space, and choose artificial rocks as a foundation of “art.” We wish to design the dynamic and spiritual worldview lurking deep in the mountains by recreating huge rocks which often seen deep in Japanese mountains in the city. Chiseled with artificial rocks and vertical wooden lattices, the building facade manifests the design concept "Fusion of Nature and Art." The artificial rock embedding facade of the ground floor to the 2nd floor continued to the entrance and the artificial rock merges with a sculpture on a theme of love. - Inspiration
- The inspiration came from a giant rock stately stands deep in Japanese mountain. It stands quietly but exude a quiet dignity. Since ancient times, Japanese people believed that spirits dwell in all things like woods, rocks, water and plants in the nature. We hope that the artificial rocks we design will somehow holds the spirituality from the nature.
