Haiyan Smart Home Competition is een merkidentiteit ontworpen voor een culturele en creatieve designwedstrijd in Haiyan County. Het hoofdvisual maakt gebruik van een roterende en gedraaide driedimensionale huisvorm. De verschuivende vorm verbeeldt de verandering en herstructurering van het thuisleven door slimme technologie. Technologisch geïnspireerde kleuren ondersteunen het thema. De grafische elementen zijn opgebouwd als vectorillustraties, waardoor ze op elke schaal scherp blijven en in verschillende richtingen kunnen draaien binnen diverse media. Unique Properties: The design stands apart from others by focusing on how smart homes are reshaping lifestyles. Unlike conventional works that emphasize regional traditional culture, this design skillfully integrates elements of technology and home in its visual language. Utilizing a rotating, twisted 3D house form, it not only intuitively conveys the concepts of change and reconstruction but also creates a unique visual impact and sense of fashion through innovative graphic language and tech-inspired color schemes.
Dimensions & Packaging: Use vector graphics to ensure clarity at various resolutions; ensure unified color management and adopt specific technological color combinations; animations and interactive elements must be compatible with mainstream display devices to ensure smooth transitions between key frames and clearly convey the theme of "transformation".

Production Technology: The design and production process relies on digital tools and 3D modeling technology to achieve the expression of "changing home". In the design implementation, physical objects such as space installations, promotional posters, brooches, water cups, etc. are all made of high-quality materials and precise printing technology to ensure that the visual performance and physical texture meet expectations and achieve seamless integration of digital and physical elements.
Design Challenge: The greatest challeng is making the design both forward-looking and relatable to the public. External challenges primarily involve ensuring the design concept can be realized through practical production processes, such as material selection, printing, and digital display technologies.
To overcome these challenges, the team do lots of things to ultimately achieving seamless integration between the design concept and its practical application.
Research: The "Haiyan Smart Home" competition successfully attracted the attention of many people. The event received significant media coverage and widespread dissemination across various sectors. The competition facilitated the signing of cooperation agreements between winning works and local enterprises. It contributed to industrial growth by increasing societal focus on Haiyan and explored new design languages.
Inspiration: Invited by the Haiyan County Government for a project: designing the main visual for the upcoming "Cultural and Creative Competition of Smart Homes" in Haiyan County. The design inspiration stems from observing the continuous innovation in smart home technology and the transformation of home life. The concept of homes in transformation emerges, focusing on how intelligence is reshaping the home experience from within. The competition aims to inspire more people to take part in this competition.
Project Duration: The project started its design phase in February 2023 in Hangzhou, was completed in August 2023, and the official event was held in September 2023.
Operation Flow: The design primarily focuses on visual identity. For instance, in various media, the graphics twist and extend in different directions to form new shapes. To achieve optimal results, it is crucial to maintain the clarity and adaptability of the graphics across various mediums, as well as their alignment with the overarching theme of "intelligence." This can be reinforced through the thoughtful selection of materials and color schemes to enhance the expression of the theme.
