Botaniera Original Firming Essence is een verpakkingsontwerp voor huidverzorging, bestemd voor een gezichtsessence voor de gevoelige huid. De matte fles meet 42 bij 42 bij 133 millimeter en volgt de vorm van Dendrobium, het hoofdingrediënt. Een cilindrisch lichaam draagt een groene, transparante middenring met onregelmatige, gladde lijnen die de opwaarts kronkelende groei van de plant oproepen. Een geel-groene kleurverloop verwijst naar de stengel en de bladeren. De concave ring zorgt voor een comfortabele grip, en een vacuümpomp houdt lucht buiten en regelt de dosering.

Unieke Eigenschappen: This essence is formulated for individuals with sensitive skin. The innovative packaging of the product takes inspiration from the growth form of Dendrobium, the core ingredient of the essence, and showcases the aesthetic, conveying the benefits of antiageing qualities, as well as care for the skin. The shape of a column with a centre ring imitates the growing of Dendrobium that along the support by employing irregular and smooth chine lines, which echoes the vitality of the natural plants.

To accomplish this, the team employed a simple design language, creating irregular and smooth chine lines in the centre ring structure. The artistic interpretation of plant growth showcases the coiled upward posture along the support of Dendrobium, highlighting its vitality. Additionally, the design retains the spiral momentum of the molecular chain while injecting a sense of technology.
Onderzoek: In the current era, many skincare brands prioritise demonstrating natural and scientific ingredients inherent in their products through packaging design to bolster consumer confidence in them. This packaging adeptly captures this trend by outlining the growth posture and appearance characteristics of Dendrobium. It effectively presents a visual representation of vitality and beauty while also conveying the dedication of the brand to employing natural and organic ingredients.
Inspiratie: The Dendrobium is known for upward growth posture and remains coiled when dried for medicinal purposes. Inspired by this, the design team created a centre ring structure that simulates the multiple nodes of the Dendrobium, presenting the dynamics of growth posture with chine lines. The design features a gradient of yellow and green colours from the Dendrobium stem leaves, which provides users with a natural and vital visual experience, showcasing the natural and safe properties of the product.
Projectduur: The project was initiated in November 2022 and completed in January 2024 in Hangzhou over a period of one year and two months.
Werkproces: The centre ring has a concave and undulating shape that offers a comfortable grip. Additionally, the design increases friction, preventing accidental dropping when used with wet hands. The design also makes it easier for users to unscrew the cap.
The vacuum pump structure has the ability to isolate air effectively, ensuring the safety of the essence and preserving the activity of the internal ingredients. It also facilitates precise control of dosage, reduces waste of internal materials.
