Dot Sofia is een multifunctioneel gebouw voor evenementen en stedelijk wonen in Sofia, Bulgarije. De structuur, bestaande uit twee volumes, herbergt een hedendaagse kunst- en evenementenruimte, een signatuurrestaurant en woonunits. Dot Sofia bevindt zich in de historische marktwijk, een gebied dat al lang verbonden is met handel en de afgelopen decennia verwaarloosd is geraakt. De gevel is gemaakt van verroest staal en verwijst naar de verouderde materialiteit van de buurt. Overdimensionale luiken openen en sluiten, in de ritmiek van het marktleven. Het gebouw werd voltooid in 2023 en heeft een bruto vloeroppervlak van 1576 vierkante meter.

- Embedded in the urban complexity of the biggest street market in Sofia the simple two volume structure of DOT Sofia building manifests unexpected different faces and scales from the possible viewpoints. The hybrid program of intertwined contemporary art and events space; signature restaurant and design urban living are injected in the rather neglected historic heart of the city with the clear ambition to redirect its inevitable transformation. The rusted steel facade preserves the characteristic aged materiality of the area while the dynamics of the oversized shutters follow the rhythm of the market life.
