About Breathing Apple Kunstmeubel-installatie

Breathing Apple is een kunstinstallatie die tevens dienstdoet als stoel. De vorm behoudt de contouren van een appel, met onregelmatige deuken die een lichaam suggereren dat door druk is hervormd. Het indeuken en herstellen van het oppervlak drukt het idee van ademen en innerlijke heropleving uit. Het stuk is met de hand gestikt uit leerresten die door fabrieken zijn afgedankt. Natuurlijke kleurvariaties, zichtbare stiksels en onbewerkte randen creëren een warme en tactiele textuur. Ergonomie bepaalt de rondingen, zodat het werk als kunstobject kan worden tentoongesteld of als alledaagse zitplaats kan worden gebruikt.

Unique Properties: Breathing Apple is a unique piece that blends art installation with functional furniture. The piece focuses on the concept of breathing, using its shape of indentation and recovery to symbolize the inner revival of the individual. It reflects a philosophical idea of striving for completeness within imperfection. The Breathing Apple can be used as a piece of display art as well as an everyday chair. The apple, a symbol understood worldwide, represents life,healing,and growth.
Project Duration: This product was designed on 2022/11/1 and completed with final design in 2024
Operation Flow: Each piece of leather in the Breathing Apple is carefully selected, paired, and sewn together by the designer, reflecting the craft and warmth of the maker. The result is a tactile fruit of life with beautiful curves and textures that invite touch. The design avoids mechanical cutting, leaving the leather’s natural edges intact, highlighting the idea that imperfections are what make it unique.
