The Design
About Unheardible Branding voor Muziekconcours

- Unique Properties
- D-bue is a music competition of the future: every two years, selected students from German music academies present their artistic visions in concerts.Bloom developed a pioneering communication concept. Central to the design is a dynamic sound sculpture, created using 3D sound visualization. Originating from the human ear and shaped by a custom sound logo, it symbolizes the unheard. The neologism - Unheardible - complements the key visual, ensuring strong visibility and recognition across all media.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- 3D animations for website, digital media and social media, campaign motif for digital campaign, OoH media, and advertisements in event magazines. Publications in the form of an event magazine and program booklets for the individual events. Posts and digital ads in the run-up to and aftermath of the competition, participants, jury and concerts.

- Production Technology
- The central key visual is an audio-synced animation based on a specially developed sound logo. In 3D software, the model of a human ear was modeled along this sound data as a dynamic sculpture. The final teaser animation was then created in specialized animation software. In this way, the acoustic experience was precisely translated into a visual form.
- Design Challenge
- The biggest challenge was to do justice to the creative force and stylistic diversity of the participants with just one key visual and a holistic communication framework. This one image had to convey the visionary, the unheard of of the competition, communicate at eye level - and at the same time act as an identity-forming umbrella both internally and externally and arouse the interest of the public.
- Inspiration
- The aim was to make D-bue visible and audible to the public and participants alike as an innovative music competition in order to generate attention, boost ticket sales and visualize the cultural claim. Bloom developed a communication concept based on the event's sound logo and translated it into a striking visual. The ear as a dynamic sound sculpture communicates the core promise: an unheard musical experience. The result is a clear and unmistakable visual language that reflects the diversity and creative energy.
- Project Duration
- From February 2024, the D-bue communication concept became visible step by step: venues, organizing team and jury were presented, followed in March by the ensembles with their visionary projects. Interviews and background reports made the anticipation tangible. From the end of March: ticket sales and insights into the contributions. In May, the campaign reached the public space. From May 28 to June 1, the concerts could then be experienced live - digitally accompanied until the award ceremony.
- Operation Flow
- The communication concept makes the competition visible, accompanies it for months, provides information, arouses curiosity and increases anticipation. It brings audiences and artists together online, in public spaces and on site. It explains the process, introduces participants, provides orientation at the concerts and gives the competition a strong, recognizable face - from the kick-off to the award ceremony.
