About Mountain House in Mist Bibliotek
Mountain House in Mist er et bokhus på landsbygda, beliggende i en gammel landsby i Wuyi. Bygningen forener tradisjonell kultur med moderne design gjennom en ny anvendelse av tradisjonelle materialer, et transformert tak og gjennomskinnelige polykarbonatplater på fasadene. Om dagen skaper platene en myk, gjennomskinnelig atmosfære innendørs. Om natten slipper lyset ut, og bokhuset blir et visuelt sentrum i landsbyen. Bokhuset tilbyr et rolig sted å lese og har som mål å bringe unge mennesker og barn tilbake til fjellene.

- Unique Properties
- The Mountain House in Mist combines traditional culture and modern design through new application of traditional materials, transformation of the roof, and use of translucent polycarbonate board on the façade. In the daytime, light creates a translucent atmosphere indoor, while at night, the light sneaks out and the book house becomes a visual center.The book house was built to provide a space for to read and to calm down, so as to attract more young people and children back to the mountains.

- The book house is located in an ancient village in Wuyi and was developed by a local tourism real estate company as a part of the development and construction. Before the development, only a few elderly residents live in this empty village. It was hoped that this book house could change the situation by bringing more visitors to it.
