- The decors like vertical decorative light columns, grilles, and mirrored acrylic panels create orderly and intricate light and shadow interplays. The classic black, white, and grey of the Maillard home colours impart a sense of warmth and sophistication. The television backdrop features a 45 degree diagonal cut, showcasing its slim and airy aesthetic. The handle design draws inspiration from the folded texture of clothing of Issey Miyake, achieving a stereo form through extrusion and pleating.

Extensive research on the essence of both cultures was conducted by the design team to extract their most representative elements, which were then reinterpreted and integrated using modern design techniques. The modular design was implemented to offer the project not only a flexible and adaptable layout but also to accentuate the unique flavour of Eastern Neo-Minimalism.
