About Time Book Tèn-libres

Time Book es un tèn-libres concebut per èsser utilizat sus un burèu o una estatgièra de libres. Cada tèn-libres es fach a partir d'un blòc de veire de cristal polit a la man. Una tinta especiala es imprimida per serigrafia sus la superfícia e cuècha a nauta temperatura. La densitat elevada del veire de cristal dona al tèn-libres una estabilitat dins l'usatge. Lo disseny es minimal en foncion, forma e matèria, e sembla una escultura en forma de libre. La forma presenta clarament la foncion. Lo tèxte imprimit utiliza la tipografia Quinsay Parto. Las letras MMXIX sus l'esquina son las chifras romanas per 2019.

Unique Properties: Bookends are made by hand-polished crystal glass blocks. Special ink was screen printed on the surface and cured at high temperature. The high density of crystal glass gives them perfect stability when in use.
Time Book is minimalistic in terms of function, form and material, it’s like a book-shaped sculpture. The function is clearly presented by its form.
The text on the book uses Quinsay Parto typeface designed by Time book’s designer. The “MMXIX” on the book spine is the Roman numeral writing of “2019”.

Production Technology: Crystal Glass
Design Challenge: Designers wish to keep their design minimalistic in terms of function, form and material. Time Book is like a book-shaped sculpture. The function is clearly presented by its form.
Research: Bookends are made by hand-polished crystal glass blocks. Special ink was screen printed on the surface and cured at high temperature. The high density of crystal glass gives them perfect stability when in use.
Inspiration: Time Book is inspired by Marquez’s novel. The opening of “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is printed on Time Book. It is the beginning of a great novel.
Project Duration: The project started in April 2018 and finished in December 2018 in Hangzhou(China), and was exhibited in Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai in February 2019.
Operation Flow: Time Book can be placed on a desk or a bookshelf. The high density of crystal glass gives them perfect stability when it is used.stability when in use.
