About Linear Refraction Lampa biurkowa, oświetlenie nastrojowe
Linear Refraction to lampa biurkowa i nastrojowa stworzona dla designerskiego hotelu w Lishui w Chinach. Lampa łączy liniową tubę LED z podstawą z kryształowego szkła pochodzącego z Pujiang. Podstawa zawiera kolorową warstwę wewnętrzną, która załamuje białe światło, rozszczepiając je na wiele odcieni przypominających tęczę. Oferowane są dwa tryby użytkowania. Ustawiona poziomo lampa służy jako regulowane światło do czytania. Ustawiona pionowo, światło jarzy się wewnątrz kryształowej podstawy, tworząc barwną atmosferę. Sterowanie dotykowe pozwala włączać i ściemniać światło, a ostatnie ustawienie jest zapamiętywane.

- Production Technology
- The material of the light base is made from the highest quality crystal with a colorful sticker inner. The crystal is from Pujiang, the crystal kingdom of China. All the material of the light tube is made in Taiwan and assembled manually.
- Design Challenge
- Considering the different demands of travelers and the product’s duration, artist Ray Teng Pai spent much time adjusting the details of the product. From designing to making, the design team not only creates original design style and art performance but also merges sensibility and rationality to realize practical value. Challenging the limit of manufacturing art and fuse traditional craft and unique conception, Ray practiced the aesthetic value of light and shadow.
- Inspiration
- The design of the Linear Refraction series is inspired by the phenomenon known as the rainbow.
The crystal glass base embodies the water vapor in the air, refracting white light into a multitude of colors. The inspired use of this crystal clear design makes the Linear Refraction - Desk Light an exquisite art installation of both form and function. - Project Duration
- The project started in October 2019 in Taipei and finished in March 2020 in Lishui.
- Operation Flow
- There are two modes of usage. When laying down the linear light horizontally, it becomes an adjustable reading light. When sitting it up vertically, the light illuminates from within the crystal glass base to create a colorful fantasy atmosphere.
A light touch at the end of the linear tip simply turns on or off the light. A long touch, however, can brighten or dim a given light. The Linear light remembers the previous setting, thus it always lights up smoothly at your expected volume. - Team Members
