O projekcie Nestled in the Green Dom
Nestled in the Green to dom położony w Tajiri, w prefekturze Hiroszima w Japonii. Działka znajduje się w typowej japońskiej dzielnicy mieszkalnej, z niewielkimi górami na północy i Morzem Wewnętrznym Seto na południu. Dom powstał na działce, na której wcześniej stał dom wakacyjny w stylu europejskim – został on wyburzony, a ogród zachowano i pielęgnowano. Położenie domu oraz wielkość okien zostały starannie przemyślane, tak aby ogród i góry były widoczne z wielu kierunków. Otwarte okna wpuszczają do wnętrza dźwięki liści i ptaków. Powierzchnia działki wynosi 713,24 metra kwadratowego.

- Unikalne Cechy
- Wrapped by the surrounding nature, this house nestles closely within the environment in which it stands. Located in Tajiri-cho, Fukuyama, Japan, the neighboring buildings, apartments, and houses form this typical Japanese residential area. However, with small mountains stretching northward and the Seto Inland Sea to the south, one realizes this town is also surrounded by nature. Built on the plot of an former European-style vacation home, the house was demolished by the owner but the garden was tended to ever since. Like this town, the architecture creates a space wrapped delicately in nature.

- Inspiracja
- To create a feeling of familiarity with nature, the position of the house was considered so that from inside, both the garden and mountains can be viewed from many directions. This meant that depending on the season, the shifting colours of the flowers and trees, the fluttering of birds could be enjoyed.
