About Red House Instalacja artystyczna
Red House to instalacja artystyczna stworzona na festiwal lampionów w Tajpej. Dzieło tworzy tunelowy korytarz o ośmiu bokach, zbudowany z rur ze stali nierdzewnej i wycinanych laserowo blach metalowych. Każdy bok zawiera wyryte obrazy dzielnicy Ximending ułożone w porządku chronologicznym, począwszy od budynku Red House z 1908 roku. Sterowane komputerowo oświetlenie LED podświetla panele i rozjaśnia ulicę. Fluorowęglowa farba piecowa chroni powierzchnie, umożliwiając długotrwałą ekspozycję. Zwiedzający przechodzą przez korytarz i poznają historię miasta poprzez obrazy, a nie tekst.

- Design Challenge
- This project is an attempt to understand and interpret the exact history and culture of the centuries through various local organizations and scholars. Due to the size of the work produced, the project had to give up the textual interpretation of these events and scenes and use images that the general public or domestic and foreign travelers can understand. At the same time, Its location was a street with a constant flow of tourists, and the biggest challenge was how to make the artwork and the street become one, and to exhibit the artwork in a harmonious way.
- Research
- The Red House, a historical building built during the Japanese rule era, is used as the main viewpoint for reading the development of Ximending, so the first metal installation of the Red House, which was built in 1908, is used as the starting point of the tunnel corridor. In total, there are eight sides of the tunnel gallery, each of which is chronologically placed with different images of the development of the Ximending area, telling the story of its own development.
