About Nudibranch Hotel e Resort
Nudibranch é um hotel e resort localizado na Ilha de Nanji, na província de Zhejiang, China. O projeto abrange 31.000 metros quadrados e inspira-se nas criaturas marinhas encontradas ao redor da ilha, como o nudibrânquio e outros moluscos. O edifício ergue-se sobre pernas suaves que conectam o solo aos restaurantes, bares, spa e piscina. A área pública assemelha-se a um espaço flutuante acima da areia. O solo arenoso estende-se para dentro do hotel e forma um playground ao ar livre à sombra. Tecnologias ecológicas reduzem o impacto ambiental.

- Unique Properties
- The building blends the boundaries between the building and the landscape by its organic form and flexible connectivity; it sits on the site like a nudibranch crouching on the peaceful bay. Many Eco-friendly technologies have been installed to minimize the environment impact.

- Inspiration
- The design is inspired by sea creatures, which the island is famous for, such as nudibranch and other shellfish. This “mollusk” lifts itself by its soft legs and stretches its tentacles to explore different directions.The public part resembles a floating space above the sand. The sandy ground blends into the hotel to become an outdoor playground in the shadow cast by the building above. The legs connect the ground to restaurants and bars, and the SPA and swimming pool to to the public space.
