About Dragon Design de Interiores de Restaurante

Dragon é um interior de restaurante situado no interior de um edifício de escritórios de tecnologia financeira em Pequim. O projeto abrange 2500 metros quadrados e busca uma atmosfera serena baseada em elementos naturais. Um dos principais desafios foi o facto de 80 por cento do espaço de refeições se encontrar no subsolo, sem receber luz natural. A natureza é, por isso, simulada. Uma cascata e um espelho de água são moldados em betão aparente com recurso a tecnologia digital, e patinhos de cobre parecem nadar à superfície. As salas de jantar privadas evocam a forma de um vale, com plantas e estações do ano, e a luz simulada valoriza estas áreas fechadas.

Unique Properties: The Dragon Restaurant is located in the Financial Tech office building. A relaxing restaurant atmosphere with natural elements is sought. One of challenges is that 80% of the dining space is located underground and therefore there is no natural light. There is a balance between Financial Tech and nature.

Research: cast concrete. simulated natural light
Inspiration: Nature is simulated: one by casting a "waterfall" and "pool" via digital tech. Some copper ducklings even "swim" on this cast installation. Because of the long cold winters, outdoor-waterscapes are not suitable in Beijing, but people love water features. Another simulation is to imitate the shape of a valley and various plants and different seasons in the private dining rooms which are without windows and natural light.

Operation Flow: Even though it is underground, people like its environment and feel good because of the simulation of light and the nature.
