About Formation 01 Torneira de Banheiro
Formation 01 é uma torneira de banheiro de edição limitada. O design combina uma forma escultural com engenharia avançada e é feito em Neolast, um material compósito que permite texturas inesperadas e cores ricas e saturadas. Ângulos marcantes e um ousado acabamento Haptic Orange rompem com as expectativas tradicionais em relação a uma torneira. Um canal interno de água impresso em 3D cria um fluxo de água em lâmina. Uma espelho de ferro fundido em relevo remete a uma longa história de inovação em materiais. A torneira mede 300 mm de largura, 207 mm de profundidade e 135 mm de altura.

Orange color defy the traditional expectations of a bathroom faucet. The Kohler x SR_A collaboration embraces Samuel’s avant-garde artistic approach while honoring Kohler’s 150-year legacy of innovation and craftsmanship in the development of a new design language for water solutions. - To realize Samuel Ross’ creative vision, Kohler invited him to explore an advanced new composite material that offers boundless form, unexpected texture, and rich, saturated colors. A 3D-printed internal waterway was developed to accomplish the unique sheet flow effect. An embossed cast iron escutcheon plate celebrates our collaboration in an homage to Kohler’s history of material innovation.
- Inspiration
- Combining dynamic gesture with advanced engineering, Formation 01 takes a familiar object and reimagines it as a functional sculpture in Kohler's dynamic Neolast composite material.
- Project Duration
- This project was initiated in late 2022 with collaboration between Kohler and SR_A's studios in the US and UK, respectively. The project launched at Design:Miami in 2023.
