Dot Sofia é um edifício de uso misto destinado a eventos e à vida urbana em Sófia, na Bulgária. A estrutura, composta por dois volumes, abriga um espaço de arte contemporânea e eventos, um restaurante de assinatura e unidades residenciais. Dot Sofia situa-se no histórico bairro do mercado, uma área há muito ligada ao comércio e negligenciada nas últimas décadas. A fachada é feita de aço enferrujado e evoca a materialidade envelhecida da vizinhança. Portadas de grandes dimensões abrem e fecham, acompanhando o ritmo da vida do mercado. O edifício foi concluído em 2023 e possui uma área bruta de construção de 1576 metros quadrados.

- Unique Properties
- Embedded in the urban complexity of the biggest street market in Sofia the simple two volume structure of DOT Sofia building manifests unexpected different faces and scales from the possible viewpoints. The hybrid program of intertwined contemporary art and events space; signature restaurant and design urban living are injected in the rather neglected historic heart of the city with the clear ambition to redirect its inevitable transformation. The rusted steel facade preserves the characteristic aged materiality of the area while the dynamics of the oversized shutters follow the rhythm of the market life.

Neglected for the past decades, it is now evolving into a multi-cultural melting pot. DOT Sofia aims to contribute to the rediscovery and evolution of this still hidden urban cultural area.
