About Dune Sofá Modular

Dune é um sofá modular concebido para espaços de estar. A coleção inclui módulos de um lugar, de um lugar com braço e de dois lugares, cada um com 100 cm de profundidade e 75 cm de altura. As formas curvas e os tons quentes em degradê evocam dunas de areia. A espuma viscoelástica de alta resiliência e uma estrutura leve e de elevada resistência permitem que cada módulo seja comprimido para a embalagem e recupere totalmente a sua forma depois de desembalado. A compressão reduz o volume e o custo de transporte. Os módulos podem ser unidos para formar diferentes composições. O tecido de malha em degradê é durável, resistente a rugas e elástico.

Unique Properties: Inspired by Dune, our modular sofa collection combines beauty and functionality. Its components echo the curves and warm tones of the dunes, transforming the living space into a peaceful retreat. The key innovation of this sofa is its compressible structure, which simplifies and reduces transportation costs. Users can easily assemble the modules to create a variety of layouts. The durable, wrinkle-resistant, and stretchy gradient knit fabric ensures the comfort and stability of the sofa.

Production Technology: At the technological and research level, to enable compressed transport, we adopted a combination of high-resilience memory foam and a high-strength, lightweight frame, ensuring that the sofa modules remain structurally sound during compression and swiftly regain their full, inviting form when unpacked. Moreover, through innovative modular assembly, we refined the connection structure, allowing users to effortlessly create a multitude of configurations.
Design Challenge: The Dune Sofa draws inspiration from the undulating contours of sand dunes and the stunning colours of the sunset, combining modular assembly with compression technology to achieve a balance between aesthetics and practicality. The primary challenge was to ensure that the materials do not deform after compression, to optimise the stability of the modular connections, and to faithfully capture the artistic essence of the dunes in the design—ultimately achieving a seamless fusion of function and art.
Research: Inspired by the landscape of sand dunes, the Dune modular compression sofa has been designed to address the challenges of traditional sofas in terms of transportation and layout. Through modular assembly and innovative compression technology, issues of bulkiness and inflexibility are resolved. High-strength, lightweight materials and high-resilience memory foam ensure convenient transport and versatile combinations, seamlessly blending decorative appeal with practical functionality. The Dune Sofa offers a fresh choice for the modern home.
Inspiration: Inspired by the gentle curves and shifting light of dunes at sunset, we sought to infuse the aesthetic beauty of nature into home design. Our aim was to address the limitations of conventional sofas, which are often bulky, cumbersome to transport, and poorly adaptable to diverse living spaces. We aspired to create a piece that seamlessly combines flexible configuration, convenient mobility, and refined contemporary style.
Project Duration: The project will start in Shenzhen in June 2025 and be completed in Shenzhen in July 2025.
Operation Flow: The intention behind the creation of the Dune Sofa is to transcend the traditional constraints of cumbersome transportation and immovable layouts, forging a home furnishing that harmoniously unites ornamental charm with practical functionality. Meticulously refined compression techniques in packaging ensure effortless portability and transport, while premium high-resilience foam preserves both the comfort and the unwavering elasticity of every seat.
