About Black Definition Design de Interiores Residencial

Black Definition é um projeto de design de interiores residencial que abrange cerca de 234,4 metros quadrados na cidade de Taichung, Taiwan. A residência é composta por um hall de entrada, uma sala de estar, uma sala de jantar, uma cozinha aberta, três quartos e um depósito. O conceito de dicotomia divide o espaço em áreas públicas abertas e áreas privadas independentes. Diferentes texturas de paredes e pisos criam uma segmentação visual. Foram empregados pedras naturais com revestimento de titânio, revestimentos minerais, azulejos importados, ferragens de aço e vidro lacado. A planta foi reorganizada para ampliar a sala de estar e permitir a recepção de convidados.

Unique Properties: The designers involved the concept of dichotomy to create an impeccable residence with aesthetic literacy and great functionality for the clients family. The designers utilized elements like modernistic lines and proportions, large quantities of titanium plated natural stones, and mineral coatings, making the home discreet yet affordably luxurious. A harmony of colors and proportions not only magnifies the visual effect of the space but also shows the clients distinct personal identity.
Dimensions & Packaging: The site is approximately 234.4 square meters and consists of a foyer, a living room, a dining room, an open kitchen, three bedrooms and a storage.

Design Challenge: The design team started ceaseless communication in order to understand the living space that the client truly desired; however, her being used to conforming to societal expectations meant that her true feelings were hidden and suppressed, and the client could not decide on the design even after a long time. Hence the team losing a clear direction in the beginning, but in the end, after providing a variety of options under their ideas, the style was set for this project.
Research: Dividing the overall space into halves, specifically openly used public areas and independent private areas, using different textures on the walls and flooring to create visual segmentation, implementing large quantities of titanium plated natural stones and mineral coatings, and collocating lighting design. Simplistic lines and proportions in a modernistic style are the main elements in public areas; they symbolize the subtle, affordably-luxurious feeling in a city.
Inspiration: After had discussions with the client, concluded that the clients intelligence, capability, and competency as an independent woman of modern times dont always portray the real her, all of her traits, and her true desires. Therefore, the team tried to pinpoint her true nature through conversations and her sense of fashion, so that their design could reflect the clients personality and image, and at the same time outline her thoughts and inner profile, which are two sides of the same coin.
Project Duration: The project was finished in Nov, 2019 in Taichung City, Taiwan.
Operation Flow: After considering the clients daily needs and habits, the designers rearranged the layout of the living and another room done by the original construction company, giving the former more space to meet the needs of the client, namely when she is hosting friends. Expanding public areas provides more room for activity and enhances the comfortability while using.
