The site views needed to be enjoyed by the owner from family space. Also the clients signature was envisioned in the building scape, through his reminiscence of childhood memories in terracotta.
T'aqwiy: Thorough research on site elements were conducted to construct design ideas. The balconies and grand openings are directed to enjoy the clear stunning city views. Northern windows positioned to allow natural lighting and ventilation. Green and offsetting slit wall in the West allows protection from Western sun as well as traffic noise. The proposed dwelling has been designed to take into consideration the location and form of the existing block. The dwelling has a curved external wall that is adorned with terracotta cladding on concrete wall that addresses the corner of the site and follows the splay corner. The stepped roof is the result of following sloped terrain, resulting in green and terraces in lairs.
