Left-behind children aged 0-17 experience prolonged parent absence due to work-related travel, leading to challenges in integration, mental health, and strained family relationships.

In 2020, China had 71.09 million migrant children and 66.93 million left-behind children, affecting 138 million children (46.4% of the total child population) due to population migration. The lack of accompanying, support, and communication from parents makes them feel abandoned by the parents, and they have difficulty integrating into society, bringing severe mental health.
