Floating este un restaurant situat pe terenuri agricole din provincia Guangdong, China. Clădirea este înconjurată de apă și se sprijină pe coloane amplasate la distanțe neregulate. Designul se inspiră din casele tradiționale Hakka din mediul rural chinezesc. O formă de acoperiș ondulată reflectă mișcarea valurilor de apă. Materiale locale sunt utilizate pe întreaga structură. În interior, decorațiuni în formă de pește completează peisajul acvatic din jur. Scopul este crearea unui spațiu de luat masa calm, care se integrează armonios în peisajul rural.

Unique Properties: The project is located in a farmland with a beautiful environment in Guangdong Province. Surrounded by the water, the design combines the irregular column spacing scales that have been constructed to carry out the conception and creativity. It extracts inspiration from the traditional Hakka houses in rural China, adopting the undulating roof form to echo the water wave.In the interior, the fish-shaped decorations are used to intersperse the waterscape and try to complement each other.
Inspiration: It extracts inspiration from the traditional Hakka houses in rural China, adopting the undulating roof form to echo the water wave.The architect made full use of local materials to return to nature and tried to provide a leisurely hydrophilic dining space blending into the surrounding environment, presenting a wild and quiet pastoral beauty.
Project Duration: The project started to design in July 2017 and the restaurant opened in March 2020 in Huizhou City Guangdong Province China.
