About Wu Xing Ambalaj

Seria de lucrări Wu Xing folosește animale ca mijloc de interpretare și le clasifică în cele cinci elemente conform caracteristicilor lor. Pentru a sublinia ciclul de simbioză din Wu Xing, designerii au adăugat răsăritul și apusul soarelui în fiecare ilustrație, reprezentând începutul și sfârșitul zilei. Cutia ilustrată constituie baza dezvoltării structurii principale, degajând un aspect de ediție de lux și clasic. De la cutia în formă de carte la desfășurarea acesteia într-o structură de ambalaj care devine independent un suport de prezentare. În această structură specială de ambalaj, fiecare card poate fi expus în totalitate.

Unique Properties: The painting box is the main structure development, showing a sense of hardcover and classic. From the book-shaped box to the unfolding to the packaging structure that independently becomes the display rack. In this special package structure, each card of this work “Wu Xing“ can be fully displayed.
Dimensions & Packaging: Outer box size: W18×L27×H4 cm; The size of the display stand after unfolding: W53×H22.5×D9 cm

Design Challenge: In order for the cards to be fully displayed at one time and to reduce the volume during packaging and transportation. We tested and adjusted many times to have been carried out on the display of the packaging and the folding structure.
Research: Our research included: 1. Communications with the client. 2. Defined the tone and manner of the brand 3. Structural packaging design, test, and revise the structure. 4. Visual design.
Inspiration: This work “Wu Xing“ presents a series of works that categorize these five elements according to their characteristics, and from my own perspective to use animals as a representative interpretation. Among them, in order to emphasize the cycle of gram and symbiosis in the five elements, I added the sunrise and the sunset in each illustration, representing the beginning and the end of the day.
Project Duration: The project started in January 2021 and finished in April 2021, in Taichung City, Taiwan.
