About Arc Masă de cafea
Arc este o masă de cafea concepută pentru spații de locuit contemporane. Arc este realizată din lemn de frasin, modelat prin îndoire laminată. Trei benzi curbate sunt îmbinate pentru a forma o structură triunghiulară tridimensională, rotunjită. Fiecare bandă se conectează cu celelalte două, astfel încât sunt necesare patru îmbinări pe fiecare bandă, iar fiecare unghi trebuie tăiat cu precizie. Masa are 77 de centimetri lățime, 77 de centimetri adâncime și 48 de centimetri înălțime. Designul este ușor ca greutate și poate fi folosit ca piesă de mobilier sau privit ca un obiect sculptural. Arc se inspiră din arhitectura modernă și din structurile simple, lipsite de decorațiuni excesive.

- Unique Properties
- The ARC stripes were made and connected using laminated veneer techniques which combines three strips to form a spherical structure. Each strip has to connect with two other strips thus each strips needs to have four joints to be set precisely.Then combined joints and form a stable three-dimensional triangular body of structure. which makes the creation unique. And because of the unique shape, the Table could easily fit in contemporary, it could act as a furniture or a piece of art.

- Design Challenge
- The table has an unique structural placement which creates challenges when it’s being crafted: To form the shape and the accurate joint angle, which requires a huge amount of calculation when bending and making joint each pieces of wood, is one of the key challenges when crafting.
- Research
- This is an outstanding Table made out of hardwood with overcome various of structural challenges and woodcrafting techniques. The Table is comfortable with its own personality, unique, light in weight and with a pretty structure and appearance.
- Inspiration
- This table is inspired by ARC Guitar Stand, the first creation of ARC series which is also an original HYC creation.
ARC creation was inspired by the modern architectures and the ponderation of space design on how to composite structures that are not over-decorated and form a new pattern that is elegant and enchanted. - Project Duration
- The project started in 2021 in Taipei and completed in 2022 in Taipei.
