About Ceremony Scaun fără spătar
Ceremony este un scaun fără spătar conceput pentru a fi folosit la șezut, la ceaiul de băut și la conversație. Structura este realizată din lemn de nuc și îmbinată prin tehnica tradițională chinezească de îmbinare cu cep și mortază. Structura reduce cantitatea de material folosit, în timp ce scaunul rămâne stabil și confortabil în utilizare. Suprafața șezutului și picioarele sunt tăiate prin prelucrare controlată de calculator și apoi finisate prin șlefuire manuală. Scaunul este livrat pentru asamblare de către utilizator. Forma face trimitere la cultura rituală chineză, în care actul de a se așeza este înțeles ca un gest de curtoazie. Scaunul are 400 mm lățime, 320 mm profunzime și 430 mm înălțime.

- Unique Properties
- This is the design of a seat. Through structural innovation, this seat reduces the application of materials, and has a more stable and comfortable use experience. The form language of the seat has more charm characteristics of oriental culture.

- Production Technology
- Use Chinese (tenon and mortise joint) technology to connect the whole. The bench surface and leg are carved by CNC digital control machine in the first step, and then fine tuned by manual polishing. The material is walnut or black walnut, and the digital production adopts 3D virtual model.

- Finding a technical solution capable of merge at the highest-level aesthetic, comfort and sustainability,This also allows the use of few materials to maximize the functionality of the product.
- Research
- This is the design of a seat. The inspiration for the design comes from China's etiquette and civilization. The Book of Rites - The Moon Order has more meaning of treating each other with courtesy. The concept of the chair was based on important aspects of a good design, such as comfort, quality, and sustainable values. Nowadays a product needs to represent more than ever these key elements. This concept makes this chair unique along with its minimalist lines.
- Inspiration
- This seat is inspired by Chinese ritual, which has appeared in oracle bone inscriptions and early inscriptions on gold. In the Book of Rites, Yueling has more meaning of treating each other with courtesy. The behavior of sitting is also a kind of etiquette, and the design semantics of products also follow the etiquette culture and then expand. In the background study, it analyzes the inheritance of the spirit of ritual.

- This project is completely new and unseen until now. Started and finished in Madrid inNovember 2022.
