About R300 CD Player

R300 este un CD player ușor și portabil, creat pentru utilizatori de toate vârstele. Corpul măsoară 162 mm în lățime, 147,3 mm în adâncime și 32,5 mm în înălțime. Structura complet modulară utilizează componente standardizate și îmbinări ușor de demontat, astfel încât modulele pot fi reparate, actualizate și reutilizate în alte produse din aceeași serie. Ambalajul este o tavă din hârtie reciclabilă. Interfața este împărțită în secțiuni stânga și dreapta pentru a menține comenzile clare și simple. Sunt acceptate conexiuni cu fir și fără fir, precum și mai multe formate audio.

Unique Properties: R300 is a lightweight, portable CD player appealing to all ages. From the production process to the modular components to the recyclable paper tray packaging, the design is kept as simple as possible. Meanwhile, the function, form, and appearance should be well integrated into multiple usage scenarios to achieve product flexibility, upgradeability, repairability, and environmental sustainability, bringing a deep sense of happiness and high-quality usage experience to users of different ages.

Research: This product is positioned as a lightweight CD player with a wide target customer base. Therefore, we researched the current market characteristics and the functional and emotional needs of users of different ages for CD players through questionnaires, interviews with typical users, and research on consumer reports from professional institutions to guide the design of the appearance, material, form and interactive form of this product.This is a lightweight and portable CD player. The biggest challenge in the design process is to make it lightweight and portable, suitable for all ages. The function, form and appearance should be well integrated into a variety of usage scenarios, bringing a deep sense of happiness and high-quality usage experience to users of different ages.
Inspiration: Since the 2020s, CD sales have continued to grow as Gen Z has re-pursued retro ways of listening to music and the KPOP market share has exceeded US$5 billion.

Gen Z and older generations have become enthusiastic about CDs again, and there aren’t many ideal CD players on the market, so we wanted to develop a product that would appeal not only to young people who are into pop culture but also to the older generation who are nostalgic and once loved CD culture.
Project Duration: The project started in March 2023 in Shenyang, ended in September 2023 in Shenyang, and was launched in China in October 2023.
Operation Flow: The design of the left and right partitions of the interface highlights the functional area, achieving a more intuitive, reasonable and simple operation experience. The material is touch-up paint, which feels warm.
It retains the classic characteristics of traditional CD players, supports wired and wireless connection methods, ensures a high-quality listening experience, and supports multiple audio formats, meeting multiple needs for convenience, fashion, and high-quality sound effects.
