About The Ray Брошь

«The Ray» — брошь, вдохновлённая лучом солнечного света, пробивающимся сквозь облака в пасмурный день. Основной цвет броши — тёмный, поскольку в изделии использованы металл с покрытием из чёрного родия и чёрный алмаз. Яркие драгоценные камни сочетаются с тёмной основой, оживляя всё изделие. Жемчужины дают мягкое сияние, а бриллианты добавляют блеск рядом с тёмным металлом. Брошь была разработана в виде трёхмерной цифровой модели. Размеры «The Ray» — 50 × 30 × 17 миллиметров.

Unique Properties: The base color of the brooch is dark since it's using black rhodium plated metal and a black diamond, but mixing with a bright gemstones brightens up the entire piece.

Production Technology: The brooch was created in 3D model. The body for the baguette diamonds and the
Design Challenge: The most challenging part of this piece was transforming the dark image into bright object, still containing the dark element.
Research: My research began first by observing the cloudy day and capture the moment of the ray that comes out from the cloud. After I understood the shape and movement of the light, I then researched how to incorporate and design a piece that is fine, and balanced. I researched everything using online resources.
Inspiration: The inspiration of the brooch comes from the ray of sunlight appearing through the clouds on a cloudy day. The luster of the pearls gives and extra soft glow and the sparkle of the diamonds stands out like a ray of sunlight next to dark metal and black diamonds.
Project Duration: The project was designed and completed in June 2022 in Milan, Italy
