About Nestwood Igenamiterere ry'Imbere mu Nzu y'Ubuhanzi
Nestwood ni imbere y'inzu y'ubuhanzi n'ibiro byubatswe nk'ahantu hasangiwe n'inganda z'ubuhanga. Imbere y'iyi nzu ifite ubuso bwa metero kare 600 ku byiciro bibiri. Uburyo bwo gukora imigenurire bwifashishijwe mu gushushanya imiterere karemano y'ahantu. Ikoranabuhanga rya robo ryifashishijwe mu kubaka imiterere igoye ikoresheje ibyuma bitagira umutobo (marine grade stainless steel), ipfundo ry'amasaho rikomejwe n'ifiber (glass fiber reinforced gypsum), amabuye y'agaciro (marble) hamwe n'aluminium ifite uturyango. Ahakiriro hasa n'ikizinduzi hafite imiterere karemano hakaba ari ho hinjirira, kandi hakikijwe n'ikiyaga gito cy'ibinyabuzima inyuma. Hagati hari ahantu hazamuka (atrium) hafite inkuta zishushanyije nk'ibisanzwe kamere hamwe n'ipandi rizamuka, bikaba ari nako honyereza ahasangirwa ibitekerezo.

About the Igihembo cya A' Design Award cya Buronze
Nestwood Igenamiterere ry'Imbere mu Nzu y'Ubuhanzi ni uwegukanye Igihembo cya A' Design Award cya Buronze, ishimwe ry'agaciro gakomeye ritangwa ku bishushanyo by'indashyikirwa birangwa no guhanga, ubwenge n'ubushishozi. Abegukanye Buronze ni ibihangano bifite ubuhanga bwinshi kandi bihanga cyane, bishimangira uburambe, ubwenge n'ubushobozi bw'ababihanze. Nestwood Igenamiterere ry'Imbere mu Nzu y'Ubuhanzi biteganyijwe ko izaba ikintu cyubahwa, gishimwa kandi gikundwa, gifite ubunyamwuga n'udushya. Iki gishushanyo cyegukanye Buronze gikoresha uburyo bwiza mu buhanzi, ubumenyi, ubushushanyo n'ikoranabuhanga kandi kirarenze mu gutaha ku tuntu duto. Nestwood Igenamiterere ry'Imbere mu Nzu y'Ubuhanzi ishimisha ibyo dukeneye, ikora ku byifuzo byacu, itwara amarangamutima yacu kandi ikurura amatsiko yacu.

- Unique Properties
- The Nestwood Gallery is an oasis shared by multiple creative industries.
The design process uses experimental generative design to create an organic space. Each spatial detail is further fabricated with robots using the latest digital fabrication technology to replicate the complex geometry from the computer.
An organically shaped reception marks the entrance and greets the visitors, backed by a mini bio-pond: a mini-ecosystem is balanced by the atrium light, nitrogen, recycled water and minor species. The visitor is then welcomed by naturally inspired atrium walls, where a stair case leads the visitor to the upper level. - Dimensions & Packaging

Perforated Metal: Laser Cut
Coffee Table: Robotic & CNC - Design Challenge
- The creative challenge is to realize designers full vision outside the industry's comfort zone. Manifold Lab experimented multiple digital fabrication method to create the full architectural scale space.
- Research
- Design research: generative design, NURBs, catmull-clark Subdivision
Material research: robotics, GFRG, stainless steel bending, laser cutting, CNC marble - Inspiration
- Mathematical forms inspire the organic office space that exists in nature - the design seeks balance between beauty and ration. Program wise, the oasis is aimed to be a creative exchange space for designers and creative industries.
Multiple experimental fabrication methods were explored before finalizing the design to realize the designers' vision. - Project Duration
- Project started in 2020 and finished in September 2022 in Toronto.
