Production Technology: Manually bent steel pipe structure is cladded with 1cm bamboo dowels in its width. A projector is installed at the center of installation to project the motion graphic onto the floor.
Design Challenge: The installation is the combination of industrial material and traditional Asian bamboo crafting. The organic shape of installation is composed with three dimensional curvature. Thus, the weaved surface with bamboo dowels are adopted with steel pipe structure to wrap the installation.

Inspiration: The design inspiration is where people gather and feel the diversity of Taipei City. The weaved bamboo facade and white-painted steel pipes represent the traditional Asian crafting method meeting with architectural structure.
Project Duration: The design started in November 2022 and finished construction in January 2023 in Taipei City. The Lantern festival was open to public in February 2023.
