About Float Itara ryicumbikwa (Pendant Lamp)

Float ni itara ryicumbikwa ryagenewe ibyumba byo mu nzu. Igipfundikizo cyacyo cyakozwe mu rwahi rw'aluminiyumu rugoretswe kandi kigaragara nk'igihagaze hagati y'ibice bibiri bisa n'umuzingi, hasigara icyuho kigaragara hagati y'ibyo bice. Ibindi bice byakozwe mu buryo bwo guhindura no gukata aluminiyumu, hanyuma bikarangizwa n'ubwoya bw'irangi (powder coating). Isoko y'urumuri rikoresha ikoranabuhanga rya LED, rifite ikintu gisakaza urumuri (diffuser) gikozwe muri PMMA. Iri tara rifite ubugari bwa milimetero 1200 n'uburebure bwa milimetero 170. Float ryimanikwa ku gisenge hakoreshejwe uduce tubiri tuhagarikira, kandi agasanduku k'aluminiyumu gato gahisha imigozi y'amashanyarazi. Abegukanye Buronze ni ibihangano bifite ubuhanga bwinshi kandi bihanga cyane, bishimangira uburambe, ubwenge n'ubushobozi bw'ababihanze. Float Itara ryicumbikwa (Pendant Lamp) biteganyijwe ko izaba ikintu cyubahwa, gishimwa kandi gikundwa, gifite ubunyamwuga n'udushya. Unique Properties: Ascetic, light and minimalist luminaire, floating in space and only with a few flexes creates a poetic, gentle and dynamic mood and fills surroundings with beautiful and warm light. The shade floats between two cylindrical parts and makes a clearance between elements that creates a beautiful tension.

Production Technology: Shade is shaped using aluminum sheet bending technology. Other components of construction are mainly made from turned and milled aluminum. The light source uses LED technology and diffusor made from pmma. Aluminum parts are powder coated.
Design Challenge: Because at first it was made as bespoke lamp, the assembly was made in welding technic. After decision to put lamp in bigger market, the question of feasibility arose, but intention of clean and monolithic aesthetics remained. During design process a great consideration was shown for integrating technology components into the lamp design itself. It helped to avoid additional boxes on ceilings for power sources. There are no visible fasteners, but still every element can be detached and replaced separately.
Inspiration: Inspiration came from architecture and nature. It's like floating leaf in space, light and delicate, but in the same time it is a formant of space, the element of scale, the present, no noise, just beautiful relationship between space and object.
Project Duration: Lamp design process started in late 2017 as part of individual interior project. In 2019 it was put on serial production in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Operation Flow: The lamp is delivered already assembled. It hangs from the ceiling on two anchor points. Only 6mm diameter aluminum box mounted to ceiling conceals wiring. Lamp is controlled by a standard switch or dimer.
