टोक्यो-नगरोपनगरे उच्च-घनत्व-आवासीय-क्षेत्रे स्थितम् इदं गृहं महत्-भूसम्पत्ति-कम्पन्याः एकेन डिजाइनरेण आदिष्टम्। प्रथमतल-प्रवेशद्वारात् सोपानात् स्नानगृहाच्च मध्ये सम्पत्तेः पश्चाद्भागपर्यन्तं दृश्यं लभ्यते। आङ्गणसदृश-विन्यासः गोपनीयतां शान्तभावं च सुनिश्चितं करोति, येन भित्तेः परपार्श्वे मार्गः अस्तीति विश्वासः दुष्करः। द्वितीयतलं उपरिमञ्चिकया वृहच्छून्यस्थानेन च सह एकीकृतम्, यत् उच्छ्रयछदानां लाभं गृह्णता आवासक्षेत्रं निर्माति।

- Unique Properties
- The first-floor entrance offers a view between the staircase and the bathroom clear to the back of the property. Thanks to a courtyard-like layout that ensures privacy and a peaceful mood, it’s hard to believe the street is just on the other side of the wall. The second floor is integrated with a loft and large void, forming a living area that takes advantage of the high ceilings.

- Inspiration
- This home in a high-density residential district in Tokyo’s suburbs was commissioned by a designer at a large real estate company. The roof and exterior walls are constructed from metallic grey Galvalume which both forms a structural skin and protects the privacy of the residents by shielding the first floor from visibility from the street. A large opening in the roof brings in abundant natural light and makes the compact space feel more expansive.
