About Dream ٽيبل لئمپ

ڊريم هڪ ٽيبل لئمپ آهي، جيڪو نرم مانڊگي روشني ڏيڻ لاءِ ٺاهيو ويو آهي. ان جو بنياد اُشِيءَ (پليّو) جي شڪل جهڙو آهي ۽ ڪنڪريٽ مان ٺهيل آهي، جڏهن ته ڊفيوزر وينس ۾ هٿ سان ٺاهيل ڦوڪيل شيشي جي گول گولي آهي. ڪنڪريٽ کي عام طور تي سخت، ٿڌو ۽ ڳرو سمجهيو ويندو آهي، تنهنڪري هن جي شڪل کي نرم، هلڪو ۽ گرم ڏيکارڻ لاءِ ٺاهيو ويو آهي. هڪ نئين نموني جي ماڊلنگ طريقي ۽ تمام ڍنڍيل داڻن واري ڪنڪريٽ، مٿاڇري کي هڪ برابر بناوت ڏئي ٿي، جنهن ۾ ڪا به ڏسڻ ۾ ايندڙ بلبل ڪانهي. هي لئمپ 24 x 24 x 14 سينٽي ميٽر جي ماپ رکي ٿو ۽ ان ۾ ڊِمبل ٿيندڙ G9 بلب استعمال ٿيل آهي، جنهن سبب گرم روشني کي ايڊجسٽ ڪري سگهجي ٿو.

Unique Properties: A dream, a lamp thought during the exploration with concrete sparked by the CONCRETAmente objects collection.
An oxymoron comes to life where a pillow made in concrete cuddles a globe of light, creating a cocoon atmosphere.

Production Technology: Through an innovative molding method and a particular type of very fine-grained concrete, we were able to obtain a unique shape that breaks the shemes and the usual stiffness of concrete.
The diffuser is obtained from a blown glass globe, handmade by the best glass masters of Venice.
Design Challenge: We were looking for a clever way of using concrete as main material for a table lamp. Our aim was to disconnect from the cold and solid sensation received from concrete.
Research: Starting from a deep research on small table lamps, we focused then on understanding which could be the right kind of light source.
Because the aim of this product is not to be a reading lamp, but to be an ambient lamp, the diffused light is the right choice.
What consumers are looking for in this category, is something that can warm up the environment. So concrete had to disconnect from the cold feeling that usually creates, and light had to be warm and dimmerable.
Inspiration: Concrete as a material is always associated in the collective imagination with something hard, cold and heavy. In MrSmith Studio we believe that the role of the designer should be also to break the schemes and subvert the collective imagination, suggesting new interpretations.
This is why we modeled concrete to give it a soft, enveloping, light and warm shape.
Project Duration: Development of the project took 6 months and has been entirely don in MrSmith Studio
Operation Flow: The project of Dream started with a deep research on concrete moulding techniques.
We've made several trials for defining the best material both for the mould, the concrete and the procedure.
The final result is a soft looking pillow, with a uniform fine grain an no bubbles visible.
