گليشيئر جو ماتم هڪ آرٽ انسٽاليشن آهي جيڪا برفاني تودن (گليشيئرن) جي ختم ٿيڻ بابت آهي. پينٽون ڪمپني گليشيئر بليو رنگ لاءِ چار ڪلر ڪارڊ ڏيکاري ٿي، پر حقيقي گليشيئرن ۾ هي نيرو رنگ متغير ۽ متحرڪ هوندو آهي. جيئن گليشيئر غائب ٿيندا وڃن ٿا، تيئن هيءَ منفرد نيري رنگت پڻ گم ٿي وڃي ٿي. الاسڪا جي گليشيئرن جي نيري رنگت جا نمونا کنيا ويا ۽ گڏ ملايا ويا، پوءِ انهن کي ريسائيڪل ٿيل شيشي جي سٺ (60) شيشين (vials) ۾ رکيو ويو، جيڪي ھڪ ڪينواس جي مٿان لڙڪايل هيون. هر ڀيري جڏهن گليشيئر ڪَلونگ (calving) جو واقعو ٿيندو هو، تڏهن هڪ شيشي هيٺ ڪري پوندي هئي. نمائش جي پڄاڻي تائين سڀئي سٺ شيشيون ڪري چڪيون هيون، جن هيٺان موجود ڪينواس تي هڪ منفرد پينٽنگ جوڙي ڇڏي هئي.

Unique Properties: There are four color cards in PANTONE for glacier blue. However, in real glaciers, this blue color is variable and dynamic. As glaciers are disappearing, this unique blue is also disappearing. We sampled and blended the blue color from glaciers in Alaska and hung them in recycled glass vials. When one glacier calving happened, one color vial fell down. At the end of the exhibition, all 60 vials fell down, forming a painting on the canvas beneath.

Inspiration: Glaciers are sentinels of climate change. They are the most visible evidence of global warming today. This series of works embodies the stunning beauty, rapid change, fragility, destructive power, and magnificence of glaciers. At the same time, they challenge the audience with the dramatic, irreversible ecological damages from climate change.
