Suprala is a contemporary delicate humanist serif typeface, with beautifully balanced forms, perfect for branding and communications projects. Suprala’s round, elegant, and classically elegant design, supports all major Latin-based languages in twelve styles. Production Technology

The font was first hand drawn and developed in Glyphs.

Design Challenge

The challenge was to develop a new modern language within the design for the typeface, that created a new modern aesthetic.

Research

Researching both Sans and serif typefaces from the early 20th century allowed us to develop a hybrid modern, stylistic humanist typeface.

Inspiration

Inspiration for the font family was from design sketches for a san serif font, but as the process advanced the forms and structures developed in the direction of a hybrid typeface. The designs are rooted in the serif style with some of the glyph terminals developed through sans forms, creating a modern adaptable font family,

The font family was developed in 2022.
