About Obsidian Wing Lounge kreslo
Obsidian Wing je lounge kreslo navrhnuté pre súčasné domácnosti, umelecké priestory a butikové kancelárie. Kreslo je inšpirované formou vtáčích krídel, pričom štruktúru kostí krídel a línie napätia prekladá do podoby nábytku. Operadlo v tvare krídla obopína sediacu osobu a poskytuje pocit útočiska a opory. Ako základný materiál je použitý vysokovýkonný plast, tvarovaný pomocou 3D tlače a presného počítačom riadeného obrábania. Povrch má matnú čiernu úpravu s vykladanými kovovými striebornými líniami. Obsidian Wing má rozmery 550 x 650 x 800 milimetrov.

- Production Technology
- Using high performance plastic as the base material, it is formed through an integrated process of 3D printing and precision CNC machining, accurately achieving complex surfaces and load bearing structures. The surface is coated with a matte finish and embedded with metal silver wires, balancing lightweight characteristics with excellent load bearing performance.
- Design Challenge
- The core concept of the design is to transform the imagery of wings providing protection and extension into the form of a chair. The main challenge lies in balancing the lightness of the wing like structure with its load bearing capacity, achieving a fusion of metallic silver lines and matte black textures.
- Research
- Seated in the chair feels like growing obsidian wings, freezing a moment of burgeoning power into static form. Its enveloping wing like structure creates psychological shelter, turning sitting into a posture of gathering momentum. Exploring bionic integration with modern furniture, it balances aesthetics and ergonomics, presenting a design both powerful and poetic.
- Inspiration
- Inspired by the imagery of sitting as if sprouting black wings, the chair draws on the fluid structure of avian wing bones, mechanical distribution of wing spars, and tension lines of tendons, translating the grace and power of nature into furniture language. It offers a sense of being guarded and supported, symbolizing rest, release, and spiritual freedom from daily routine.
- Project Duration
- The design had started in Shenyang in January 2025, completed in Shenyang in June 2025, and displayed in the museum of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang in June in 2025.
