Deng Yun Li Art Park je verejný park s rozlohou 40 000 metrov štvorcových v čínskom Su-čou. Dizajn čerpá z prírodnej scenérie a kultúrneho dedičstva regiónu. Prvky tečúcej vody a sochárske kamene pripomínajú miestne kanálové krajiny v modernom komerčnom prostredí. Interaktívny vodný kanál vedie návštevníkov od vstupu k centrálnemu námestiu, kde sa zo zeme dvíha trojdielna vodná socha ako ústredné umelecké dielo. Malá umelecká galéria a čajová zóna tvoria tichšiu oblasť na oddych.

Unique Properties: DengYunLi Art Park draws inspiration from Suzhou’s natural scenery and cultural heritage. Using flowing water features and sculptural stones, the park evokes the region’s canal landscapes while offering a contemporary urban retreat. Visitors are guided by an interactive water canal from the entrance to the central plaza, where a three-part water sculpture rises from the ground as a focal art piece. In the quieter zone, a small art gallery and tea area provide a tranquil space for relaxation.

Research: We did a series of case studies to find out the design elements that create a successful mixed-use project.
Inspiration: Inspired by the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Suzhou, DengYunLi Art Park reinterprets the city’s iconic canals through a series of water features and sunken courts. The landscape layout echoes the ancient urban fabric of Suzhou, creating layered experiences of visibility and concealment. As visitors walk through the park, views are constantly shifting, sometimes revealed, sometimes hidden, mirroring the poetic rhythm of Suzhou’s old alleyways and waterways.
