About Mavo Kavna tehtnica

Mavo je kavna tehtnica, zasnovana za pripravo kave s prelivanjem (pour over) in espressa. Sistem za zaznavanje gravitacije zazna usmerjenost naprave in zavrti zaslon, tako da pokončni način ustreza metodam prelivanja, ležeči način pa se prilega espresso aparatom. Barvni zaslon TFT prikazuje težo, čas in razmerje priprave ter ponuja navodila za vsak način priprave. Precizni senzor obremenitve in deljena tehtalna ploščad omogočata merilno območje od 0,1 g do 2 kg. Ohišje je izdelano iz ABS-a, izolacijska podloga pa iz silikona, primernega za stik z živili.

Unique Properties: The scale is a professional and convenient brewing assistant. A builtin gravity sensing system enables the screen to automatically detect orientation and rotate with the device, catering to different operation habits. Portrait mode is ideal for pour over coffee, while landscape mode fits perfectly on espresso machines. The colorful TFT screen clearly displays key parameters and offers guidance. A high precision measurement system and a split structure ensure accurate measurements.

Production Technology: The body is made from ABS, combining lightweight design with structural strength, while the insulating pad is made of foodgrade silicone, fully compliant with health and safety standards. With a low voltage safety circuit and IP34 splashproof design, the coffee scale eliminates electric leakage risks, ensuring safe operation in all brewing environments.
Design Challenge: The challenge is delivering more precise measurements. The scale achieves a breakthrough via hardware and software upgrades. With a precision load sensor, it delivers fast response and stable calibration. Intelligent algorithms minimize errors from environmental interference, achieving precise measurement range from 0.1 g to 2 kg. The split weighing platform and control panel prevent key operations from affecting the weighing process, further enhancing measurement accuracy and stability.
Research: As a tool for precise coffee brewing, traditional scales are often limited by single functionality and inconvenient interaction, failing to meet users’ increasingly diverse needs. This scale innovatively incorporates a gravity sensing system, enabling the screen to automatically rotate with the device and adapt seamlessly to various usage scenarios. Its TFT display goes beyond a simple numeric readout, offering rich visualized data and guidance for intuitive operation and interaction.
Inspiration: Drawing inspiration from smartphones, the scale achieves a slim, comfortable grip without compromising professional grade performance. It is designed to be slim yet powerful, combining professional coffee scale features in a slim, smartphone sized body, making it easy to use every day and convenient to carry on the go.
Project Duration: Initiated in December 2023, the project is expected to launch in November 2025.
Operation Flow: The colorful TFT screen makes brewing more intuitive and interactions more efficient by clearly displaying key parameters such as weight, time, and brew ratio, and by providing guidance. Users can enjoy customized interfaces and guidance based on the selected brewing mode or personalized settings. Smart triggers like drip detection and cup placement detection help streamline the process, enabling a smooth, efficient, and smart brewing experience.
