About Client Vs Designers Lojë Tavoline

Production Technology
The chess pieces use transparent acrylic cut into shape and screenprint the illustration on top. The board game paper uses similar paper that mimics the original animal chess paper for an authentic look. The graphic was printed with Pantone metallic colors.
Design Challenge
Deciding to create multiple character illustration for players to choose and select for the specific job position instead of a fixed look. This creates an extra step before playing the game.
Research
The idea originates through the inspiration of Animal Chess. We then take the essential elements from that game and translate it into relevant idea for Client vs Designers.
Inspiration
The concept originated from the game Animal Chest and it is a playful attempt to illustrate that every great relationship starts from a place of adversity. The inspiration comes from some of the key points that might frustrate each side to act as a "trap". The key job positions of each side are chosen and given different rankings to begin the battle and overpower each other.
Project Duration
The project started in October 2023 in Hong Kong and finished in December 2023.
Operation Flow
This is a board game for 2 people
