About Folded 01 Karrige Ngrënieje

Folded 01 është një karrige ngrënieje. Ulësja dhe mbështetësja janë formuar nga një fletë e vetme alumini të papërpunuar, e përkulur me dorë. Forma e palosur i jep karriges ngurtësi dhe një efekt përkuljeje natyror që shton komoditetin. Fleta e aluminit është montuar mbi një kornizë çeliku me ngjyrë, e cila ofron një detaj delikat ngjyre. Dizajni u frymëzua nga palosja e një fletushke katrore letre, e cila bëhet e ngurtë pasi palosja. Karrigia ka gjerësi 450 mm, thellësi 500 mm dhe lartësi 800 mm. Qëllimi ishte kthimi te thelbi i objektit me një pamje minimale.

Unique Properties: Folded 01 is the latest design by Erno Dierckx.By experimenting with production methods a dinningchair was born.
Erno Dierckx tries to challenge the way excitingchairs are constructed and goes back to the essence of the product. The object has a minimalistic yet sophisticated look. The chair consists out of honestand durable materials with a subtle color detail.

Production Technology: The chair consist out of a hand bended aluminum sheet. The raw material is combined with a coloured steel frame.
Design Challenge: The main challenge was te find a reliable folding technique with a minimal and beautiful appearance
Inspiration: The idea started while playing with a post-it note used to right down ideas. By folding the square sheet a rigid shape arises. This technique was used to construct a chair. The folded chair consists out of a raw aluminum sheet bend by hand and mounted on a colored steel frame.
Project Duration: Project started Februari 2018 in Antwerp Belgium and finished november 2019. First time exhibited Contemporary design fair Brussels.
Operation Flow: Folded 01 is a dinning chair made out of a single sheet raw aluminum. The folding technique gives the chair the needed comfort and has a natural bending effect
