About Formosa Sapphire Marama

Formosa Sapphire je svilena marama ukrašena šarom Svinoovog fazana, vrste ptice endemične za Tajvan. Dizajn odlikuju ručno crtani potezi četkicom, fine linijske teksture i živopisne boje. Ptica je proučavana na osnovu fotografija i stručne literature, a zatim detaljno nacrtana. Umetničko delo je pretvoreno u vektorsku datoteku kako bi se sačuvali originalni potezi i boje, a zatim je digitalnom štampom preneto na svilu. Marama je dimenzija 650 sa 650 milimetara. Namera je da se endemske tajvanske ptice predstave široj publici i podstakne svest o očuvanju ptica.

Unique Properties: Hand-drawn natural brush strokes, line texture, gorgeous bright colors, Taiwan-specific bird patterns.
Dimensions & Packaging: Width 650mm x Height 650mm

Production Technology: Digital printing with accurate colors, and print on silk.
Design Challenge: At first, all the sketches and paints are on paper, in order to print, the designer has to convert the original artworks into a vector image file. During the conversion process, adjustment work was time-consuming and challenging because the designer wanted to keep the original strokes and bright colors.
Research: Since Swinhoe's Pheasant is difficult to find, the designer observed the appearance of the animal through photographs and from the book Wild Bird of Taiwan, then drew the beautiful appearance of the animal delicately.
Inspiration: Swinhoe's Pheasant is a kind of endemic species in Taiwan. It is covered in feathers with blue color and its gestures are eye-catching and difficult to see. The designer was once lucky to see the Swinhoe's Pheasant in a mountain, and she was immediately impressed by the animal. She believes these birds should be introduced to the world. At the same time, people can also raise the awareness of endemic species birds conservation.
Project Duration: started in October 2019 and finished in January 2020 in Taiwan
