About Raw Serija šoljica za kafu

Raw je serija porcelanskih šoljica za kafu koja obuhvata šoljicu za espreso, šoljicu za amerikano, šoljicu za latu, šoljicu za čaj i dripper. Svaki komad izrađen je od lakog porcelana i poseduje urezane površine inspirisane oblicima školjki i meduza. Urezi smanjuju težinu svakog komada i čine drške ergonomičnijim. Dripper prima do 24 grama kafe i priprema napitak za dvoje. Urezana spoljna površina takođe sprečava dripper da klizi ili se kotrlja kada je postavljen na bok. Serija je osmišljena da podrži ritual pripreme kafe metodom preciznog sipanja (pour-over).

Unique Properties: Raw offers you a better coffee brewing experience with its light porcelain material. Thanks to the carvings on them, the weight of each piece in the product family is lighter than the actual products on the market. In this sense, handle of the products are also more ergonomic.

Design Challenge: The challenge in this project was arranging the size of dripper. We analyzed the datas about Pour-Over Coffee brewing ritual and came up with the perfect dimensions. It has a chamber for brewing coffee for maximum 2 people. It can hold up to 24 grams of coffee in total. It is also a very light product with the savings in porcelain material. At the same time, drippers have a rolling problem when placed sideways on the table. We wanted to resolve this issue. Thanks to its carved outer surface, we prevented sliding and rolling movements.
Research: By observing the ritual of brewing coffee, we adjusted the measures that can take a measure of coffee into the drippers' chamber. We also revised our project by taking the opinions of baristas and coffee lovers. In conclusion, we designed lighter forms and came up with shell and jellyfish looking carvings on the outside of the surfaces. Which represents our passion in coffee.
Inspiration: Raw collections form inspiration comes from random pattern sketches with a pretty dreamy and passionate sense. The collection has points that inspired from natural forms and sea animal patterns. We wanted to create an organic and dynamic form to adapt it to the coffee brewing ritual.
Project Duration: in Spring 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey
Operation Flow: You can choose our Raw product family group to enjoy your coffee routine. Feel the heat of the coffee while touching the carves on your cup and enjoy brewing your coffee.
