About Moon Chair Stolica za samostalnu montažu
Moon Chair je stolica za samostalnu montažu izrađena od masivnog drveta. Dizajn koristi tradicionalnu tehniku spajanja čepom i rupom zajedno sa spojevima tipa „riblji rep" (dovetail). Nisu korišćeni metalni spojni elementi, tako da se Moon Chair može sastaviti i rasklopiti ručno u dva ili tri koraka. Stolica je izrađena od američkog oraha i oblikovana sečenjem drveta. Dimenzije su 390 x 340 x 680 milimetara. Format ravnog pakovanja smanjuje troškove transporta i pogodan je za online prodaju. Stolica je namenjena mladim ljudima koji žive u malim domovima i često se sele.

- Unique Properties
- The Moon Chair is made of solid wood, simple and stylish, utilizing mortise and tenon joinery for a strong visual impact. It is a high degree of integration of aesthetics and structure, the structure of the clever use of mortise and tenon joints and dovetail locks, the product itself does not have any connectors, can be disassembled and assembled with bare hands. The flat design can greatly reduce the transportation cost, which is very suitable for selling on the Internet.

- Design Challenge
- The most challenging part is the structural design. Based on the connection and self-locking function of mortise and tenon structure, a new mortise and tenon structure was innovatively designed to realize the unarmed disassembly function and firmness of the Moon Chair. Its structural form is presented in a perfect blend with modern aesthetics!
- Research
- Nowadays, the young generation has lower income, small living space, likes online shopping, moves frequently and pursues a certain quality of life. They need flexible, space-saving, easy-to-use, simple and stylish furniture to improve their quality of life. Moon Chair skillfully uses traditional mortise and tenon structure, the whole product has no metal connectors, and can be assembled and disassembled with bare hands, and the beauty of its structure well demonstrates the wisdom of the predecessors. The flat design greatly reduces transportation costs and is ideal for online sales.
- Inspiration
- The current young generation of people with low income, narrow living space, like online shopping, often moving, the pursuit of a certain quality of life. We hope to design a new mortise and tenon structure based on the traditional mortise and tenon structure, combined with the toughness of wood materials, to realize a high degree of integration of the disassembling function, firmness and aesthetics of the chair!
- Project Duration
- The project started in April 2018 in Hangzhou and finished in August 2020 in Hangzhou.
- Operation Flow
- Open the product package, and assemble the product in 2-3 steps; the operation is very convenient, you can experience the fun of assembly, and the completed product is solid and durable.
