The Design
About Lakeside Living

Natural aging materials support the concept 'Gesamtkunstwerk', where the Architecture, Garden and Interior spaces are in perfect harmony. Wooden walkways lead to a boathouse and a generous Terrace overlooking the lake.
- Dimensions & Packaging

- Production Technology
- The lake side was re naturalized with grasses. Wooden walkways lead to a boathouse and a generous Terrace overlooking the lake.
- Design Challenge
- The lake clay was the most difficult part for constructing of the boat house and foundation of the main house.
- Research
- We tried to reinterprete the athmosphere of the surrounding wetland area which is famous for its original beauty. It means only grasses, lillys and Filipendula ulmaria as mass plantation
- Inspiration
- The dream of the owners was to build a house onto the narrow lake site which has a close connection to nature combined with a Japanese atmosphere. The Japanese culture reflects a feeling of sophistication, perfection in detailing, open flowing spaces and the accommodation of changing seasons. The aim of the architect was to design a Gesamtkunstwerk where the Architecture is to express a strong relationship to nature in which the house is part of the natural environment.
