When a designer starts this project, the designer needs to work with a hardware engineer (make sure he can get the smallest components and also meet the performance requirement) and mechanical engineer(create a special layout for the sensor, charging contacts, battery, and PCB within a tiny space).
Dipatlisiso: We researched competitive market (common spec of the competitors, price range, technology feature and so forth), we also visited the local hospitals and families to find the pain points of current temperature measurement tools. A compact, reliable, intuitive and accurate thermometer is what users want. After testing the working prototypes, we dive into the industrial design to make the products way more easy to use and also meet popular aesthetics.
Kgothaletso: The current temperature measurement tools include mercury thermometer, electronic thermometer, ear thermometer, and forehead thermometer are not user -friendly for the kids. They take a longer time for parents to set up and get accurate results by a couple minutes. Kids need a new convenient, sustainable, intuitive and accurate tool for better body temperature measurement. Also air quality and humidity are what parents concern about their kids.
