Phephetso ya Moralo: The most difficult part was to develop the magnetic inner system for different shapes. A lot of prototyping and testing were applied to find the right solution for the functional and appearance quality, along with the balance of technical issues of production.
Dipatlisiso: Artur Tikhonenko, the creator of Trido, was very interested in the sculpture and plaster casting and origami technology.
He originally wanted to create magnetic biological shapes, but after making some prototypes, he came up with the idea of breaking through the biological series. After experimenting with different shapes, Artur found that only when tetrahedrons and octahedrons are combined in a specific way can they stick to each other without gaps.
Kgothaletso: The inspiration came from the ideas of origami, abstract sculpture, and platonic solids geometry, while the patented magnetic system made these classic shapes function as a novelty tool. The tool for inspiration, play, learning, exploration, relaxation etc.
The aim of the idea was to awaken the play instinct of children and adults and enables them easily create impressively artistic geometric three-dimensional structures. The color palette was designed to stand out and look modern.
