About Infinite Sekotlana se Fetohang

The Infinite ke sekotlana sa letlalo se fetohang le se menang se nang le moralo wa origami o susumetsitsoeng ke jiometri ya sedome sa lebala la mmino la Aali-Qapu, ntlo ya mmuso naheng ya Iran. Basebedisi ba ka fetola sebopeho sa sona habonolo, ka dipepeho tse ka bang 40 tse fapaneng, nako efe kapa efe ha ba kgetha, ha ba ntse ba boloka tshebetso ya sona e le sekotlana. Sekotlana sena ke tharollo e tsitsitseng tshebedisong hobane e entsoe ka thepa e tshoarellang mme hape e arabela phapano ya basebedisi ka sebopeho sa sona se fetohang. Boholo ba sekotlana ha se sa menwa ke 200*400 millimithara mme e entsoe ka dikarolo tse 96 tsa letlalo la kgomo la nnete le sete ya ditlharo tsa tshipi tse 18 tse sa rokwang.

Unique Properties
In a world where diversity and rapid changes have increased consumerism, this bag is a sustainable solution in consumption because it has durable material, leather, and It also responds to the users’ demand for their changing mood by its changeable shape.
it is like a puzzle with many answers, and it turns into at least 40 different shapes, symmetrical and asymmetrical, that the users can change to their desired shape through the manual and can even create new faces for the bag themselves.
Dimensions & Packaging
The dimension of Infinite when it is not folded is 200*400 millimeter. And it has different dimensions in another faces.

Production Technology
the bag consists of 96 cow genuine leather pieces and 18 no-sew snap metal button set that are first designed in 2D and 3D in AutoCAD, then cut by laser cut, and the parts are attached to a soft and foldable suede base, and then sewn entirely by hand.
Design Challenge
The main challenge was how to convert the bag to keep both its beautiful form and its function as a bag. The next challenge was how to fold the leather and which material is perfect for its base that does not lose its durability and quality during folding.
And what pattern should be used for origami then the number of buttons and their place should be determined so that not only it can be opened and closed easily but also it can create more shapes of this bag.
Research
In the process of design and creation, research was done in the field of sustainable consumption, origami patterns, leather folding, consumer behavior, how to use elements and geometric proportions of Iranian architecture in creating practical products, and to stabilize the folded shapes, is it better to use a button or a magnet? which finally resulted in the creation of Infinite.
Inspiration
The idea of the Infinite is inspired by the geometry pattern of the dome of the music hall of Aali Qapu, an imperial palace in Iran, 1957 C.E. Geometry is the language of nature and Iranian architecture in the Safavid period was inspired by mathematics and geometric proportions to create spaces. In the domes of Iranian architecture, layers are folded on top of each other to transform from 2D designs to 3D spaces, and Infinite also used origami to fold the pieces of the bag to different faces.
Project Duration
The design of this bag started in February 2023 in Tehran, Iran and created in July 2023.
Operation Flow
All people understand proportions and beauty, even if they do not have knowledge about it. This bag uses the geometric proportions in Iranian architecture to connect the past, present and future in geometric layers. The user himself/herself shapes the bag and will have a great emotional connection and sense of belonging with the product, which makes both parts of each other. The user's mood changes, he/she changes the shape of the bag and experiences a new mood.
