Phephetso ya Moralo: The main technological challenge was to achieve a strict geometry of objects. As you know, it is quite difficult to get even lines in ceramics, and especially in porcelain. It was possible to solve this problem by selecting the optimal wall profiles and minor changes in the external surfaces. However, the basic design concept (straight geometric lines) remained unchanged.
Dipatlisiso: Contrast is a key element of the design language of this project. Contrast of hard and soft, warm and cold, smooth and rough and so on. As part of the design, study different types of materials were tested such as wood, dark ceramics, and others. However, only the cork material has become the link that connects functionality, aesthetics and technology together.
Kgothaletso: The concept is based on an approach to classical subjects from the point of view of functionalism and strict geometry. This project was inspired by the manifestos of the Russian avant-garde, the German Bauhaus and constructivism: what is functional and convenient is also beautiful.
Nako ya Projeke: The project started in 2018 and finished in 2019 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
