About Dragon Primär funktion: Restauranginredning

Dragon är en restauranginredning belägen inuti en kontorsbyggnad för finansiell teknik i Peking. Designen omfattar 2500 kvadratmeter och strävar efter en lugn atmosfär baserad på naturliga element. En stor utmaning var att 80 procent av matsalsutrymmet ligger under jord och saknar naturligt ljus. Naturen simuleras därför. Ett vattenfall och en pool är formade i gjuten betong med digital teknik, och kopparankungar tycks simma på ytan. Privata matsalar påminner om formen av en dal, med växter och årstider, och simulerat ljus förstärker dessa slutna områden.

Unique Properties: The Dragon Restaurant is located in the Financial Tech office building. A relaxing restaurant atmosphere with natural elements is sought. One of challenges is that 80% of the dining space is located underground and therefore there is no natural light. There is a balance between Financial Tech and nature.

Inspiration: Nature is simulated: one by casting a "waterfall" and "pool" via digital tech. Some copper ducklings even "swim" on this cast installation. Because of the long cold winters, outdoor-waterscapes are not suitable in Beijing, but people love water features. Another simulation is to imitate the shape of a valley and various plants and different seasons in the private dining rooms which are without windows and natural light.

Operation Flow: Even though it is underground, people like its environment and feel good because of the simulation of light and the nature.
