About Soda Grocery Livsmedelsförpackning

Soda Grocery är en förpackningsdesign för souvenirmat som säljs till besökare i Macau. Designspråket är hämtat från förpackningar för fyrverkerier tillverkade i Macau under nittonhundratalet. Bilder på fyra kvinnor från den historiska förpackningen har ritats om till samtida illustrationer och tryckts i kraftfulla färger. Fyra livsmedelsförpackningar bär illustrationerna, och varje ask mäter 185 x 145 x 55 millimeter. Det tryckta omslagspapperet och de inre etiketterna är efterbehandlade med prägling, UV-lackering, folietryck och stansning. Designen behåller sin regionala karaktär samtidigt som den möter modern smak.

Design Challenge: Firecrackers in history are the representative products of Macau exported overseas. Therefore, in the design process of this project, it is necessary to retain the regional characteristics of Macau of the times, but also to have the style of modern design language, and to change the "attribute" of the packaging attached to its original pattern. : Since the setting of firecrackers is prohibited in Macau, the We need to change from the original packaging of firecrackers to packaging of special tourist food is the two biggest challenges of the project.

Inspiration: The special history and culture of Macau created firecrackers with historical characteristics, but they suddenly disappeared after the industrial transformation. We summarized and sorted out representative packaging graphic languages, updated the design with modern graphic languages, adopted bold colors, and converted the original functions of the products into new packaging
Project Duration: The project started in Macau in March 2020 and will be completed in Macau in June 2020.
